MDT Configuration on Pumpdown Laptop
1. Check MDT Setup for Configured Files:
- Navigate to D:(Falcon-X.X.X) or (Eagle-X.X.X)\bin on the pumpdown laptop.
- Look for the TCP_CSV.xmlfile:
- If present: Open it to verify the correct channels are set up (typically PRESSURE 1 and COMBINED FLOW RATE).
- If not present, proceed to Step 2.
2. Verify Data Stream (Optional):
- Test the data stream using Putty (refer to Step 2.f).
3. Obtain TCP_CSV.xml from MDT Support (if needed):
- If remote support is available: Contact MDT Support via TeamViewer on the MDT computer.
- If no connectivity: Email the ProgramSettings.ini file (located in D:(Falcon-X.X.X) or (Eagle-X.X.X)\bin) to [email protected] and call 1-855-638-6384 to follow up.
4. Configure ProgramSettings.ini File:
- Backup the original ProgramSettings.ini in the bin folder.
- Place the received files in the bin folder, ensuring they are correctly named.
- In ProgramSettings.ini, under
[TCP_CSV]
, ensure XMLPath=TCP_CSV.xml points to the correct directory (e.g.,D:\Falcon-7.6.4\bin\TCP_CSV.xml
).
5. Restart MDT Computer:
- Restart the MDT computer to apply changes.
6. Test Data Stream with Putty:
- Open Putty, select Telnet, and enter the IP address 127.0.0.1 with Port 10001.
- Ensure Falcon/Eagle software is running. If you see data, the stream is ready.
Configure Subnet Mask for External Devices:
- Ensure external devices’ subnet masks match the PPC’s (typically 255.0.0.0).
Connecting Pumpdown Laptop to MaticAI/ZipVision
1. Connect MDT Laptop to DipoleWellsite Network:
- If WiFi is available: Connect to DipoleWellsite WiFi (password: DipoleDigitalWellsite).
- If WiFi is unavailable: Connect an Ethernet cablefrom the MDT laptop to the Dipole Router or Wireless AP LAN.
- If no Ethernet port is available, use a USB to Ethernet adapter.
2. Identify IP Address of MDT Laptop:
- If connected over WiFi: Check the Devices list in Omada on DipoleServer (https://localhost:8043).
- Alternatively, on the MDT laptop, open cmd and run ipconfig /all to find the IP address.
3. Configure Dipole Pump Plugin on DipoleServer:
- Set the Dipole Pump Plugin to read from the MDT laptop’s IP address and Port 10001.
- Verify a data string appears in the plugin.
4. Map Parameter Index Values:
- Assign index values to the appropriate parameters in Dipole Pump Plugin.
- Live values should now be visible in MaticAI/ZipVision.
Safety Note: Back up existing configuration files before replacing them to prevent data loss or misconfiguration. Always verify IP addresses and COM port settings before connecting.
