Identify the Issue

1. Sermon Failure

  • Symptoms:
    • WL data shows zeroes unless the tool is moving.
    • WL indicator is still green on ZipVision/MaticAI.
  • Additional Checks:
    • On DipoleWarriorPlugin, verify the selected COM Port:
      • If it shows COM1, it indicates a sermon connection issue.
    • Test by recording on time:
      • If data appears while recording, the sermon connection needs fixing.

2. Corrupt Config File

  • Symptoms:
    • DipoleWarriorPlugin fails to open or automatically closes.

3. Redis Failure

  • Symptoms:
    • Wellpad data is missing on ZipVision/MaticAI.
    • WL and PD indicators appear red, regardless of connections.
    • Users may mistakenly try to create a new wellpad.

Solutions

1. Sermon Failure Solution

  1. Identify Correct COM Ports:

    • Open Device Manager (search for it in the Windows Search bar).
    • Go to Ports and locate the two com0com ports. The COM assignments are displayed in parentheses (see Figure 1).
  2. Verify DipoleWarriorPlugin COM Port:

    • Open DipoleWarriorPlugin and check the COM Port in use.
    • The lower-numbered COM Port is typically set in DipoleWarriorPlugin, and the higher-numbered COM Port is set in Warrior Sermon.
  3. Change COM Port in DipoleWarriorPlugin:

    • Click "Press to Disconnect Serial".
    • Use the dropdown menu to select the correct COM Port.
    • Click "Press to Connect Serial" to save.
  4. Restart DipoleWarriorPlugin:

    • Close and reopen the DipoleWarriorPlugin.
    • Wait for 10 seconds to ensure it auto-connects to the correct COM Port.
    • If the COM Port is incorrect, repeat the steps above.

2. Corrupt Config File Solution

  1. Close DipoleWarriorPlugin:

    • Ensure the application is not running.
  2. Locate and Delete the Config File:

    • Open File Explorer (search in the Windows Search bar).
    • Navigate to
      ThisPC > Local Disk (C:) > PDVisionFiles
    • Find the file named DipoleWarriorPluginDefaultFile.pdv (see Figure 2) and delete it.
  3. Recreate the Config File:

    • Open DipoleWarriorPlugin.
    • A new config file will be automatically generated.
  4. Reconfigure COM Ports:

    • Follow the steps in the Sermon Failure Solution to set the correct COM Port.

3. Redis Failure Solution

  1. Close ZipVision/MaticAI:

    • Ensure the application is fully closed.
  2. Run Redis Script:

    • Locate the file Redis_Script.bat (usually on the desktop).
    • Double-click to execute.
  3. Reopen ZipVision/MaticAI:

    • Launch the application and verify that wellpad data and WL/PD indicators are restored.

Important Notes:

  • Ensure correct COM Port assignments to avoid sermon connection issues.
  • Backup files if necessary before deleting configuration files.
  • Always confirm Redis_Script.bat is accessible before troubleshooting Redis failures.
