1. Open Serial Setup:

  • Launch the IFS software and navigate to Serial Setup in the INSITE for Stimulation utility menu.

2. Configure Serial Device:

  • Ensure the serial device is plugged in and recognized in Device Manager.
  • Select the COM port that appears for the device in Serial Setup.
  • Configure the port with the following settings:
    • Device Type: Generic Device
    • Output Setting: Use Serial Port for Output
    • Baud Rate: 9600
    • String Configuration: Comma Separated
  • After configuration, select Lock Port. The COM port will turn red to indicate it is locked.

3. Set Up Variables:

  • Go to the Variables Setup tab.
  • In the table, under Display Label, click to add variables.
  • In the Variable Config Window, go to Instruments or the appropriate Pump #s as the variable source.
  • Select and add the necessary variables:
    • Pressure (e.g., Pressure 1 in Instruments)
    • Rate (e.g., Discharge Rate in Pump# folders)
  • Click OK to add these variables to the table.

4. Start Sending Data:

  • Once the table is configured with the correct variables, select Start Sending.
  • The selected COM port should turn green, indicating data is streaming to the Zip Vision device connected to this COM port.
  • Save the setup as a template for future use to simplify reloading.

Safety Note: Verify COM port and settings before locking to avoid configuration issues. Always save a template to streamline future setups.
