Once the wellpad is created, you can start adding wells. The easiest way is to load them from a file that was previously created using the completion documents. If you don’t have the file, you can manually add the wells.
Steps for Load from file Well Configuration
1. Go to the Setup tab.
2. Click Load from File to begin
3. Select the wellfile (it will have a .JSON extension)
4. After loading the file, select the well you want to add.
5. Click Well Configuration to review important details like the well color, number of stages, survey information, and points of interest.
Repeat these steps for each well you need to add to the wellpad.
Steps for Manual Well Configuration
1. Access Wellpad:
- Click on the add well option, and select the Manual Config to add a well
2. Enter Required Details:
- In the well configuration window, manually input the following:
- Well Name
- Well Color
- Stage Count
- Basic Wellbore Information (Depth, Casing Size, etc.)
3. Basic Configuration:
- For manual wells, it is typically recommended to use a basic configuration. This setup includes only the essential fields (as listed above) and is ideal for straightforward well operations without additional custom settings.
4. Save Configuration:
- After filling in the required details, press Save to confirm the well’s configuration.
By ensuring that the name, color, stages, and wellbore information are entered, you will meet the minimum requirements for manually configuring a well in pdVISION.
